Since 2009, Tongfang Knowledge Network Technology Co., Ltd. Beijing (CNKI) has successfully held International Conference on Digital Publishing and Digital Libraries (CDPDL) in China along with Tsinghua University Library and The University of Hong Kong Libraries for six years. The conference, featuring international cross-boundary communication, has accumulatively attracted over 3000 experts and scholars in publishing and library information industries from over 40 countries and regions, with broad and positive global influence.
In recent years, it becomes a common development goal for digital publishing and digital libraries to connect different links of knowledge production, dissemination and utilization, and provide all-around research platform and knowledge services for international collaborative innovation and academic exchanges, based on the cloud publishing and cloud services of big data. The common goal motivates the supply side and demand side to deepen their cooperation, strengthen exchanges, achieve more effective connectivity, in-depth integration and intensified operation, form a knowledge management and knowledge services community, and advance towards cross-boundary integration. To meet the new trend and further specify the conference objectives, the organizing committee decides to change the conference name into “International Conference on Integrated Development of Digital Publishing and Digital Libraries”.
